Housing services
Part of the university experience and the setting of many fond memories is the dormitory. The term “dormitory” in Turkey may invoke a vast variety of images in the minds of university graduates depending on their experiences of dorm life and the physical setting of their experience.
For us, dormitories are an essential part of a proper university education and a happy life at university, where friendships are made and where tolerance, sharing, helping others –the art of living together in short– is learned. Our housing facilities are designed as homes away from home, where students can gather around for a friendly conversation or study in solitude, all within a family atmosphere.
Library services
The Information Center houses collections of books, e-books and multimedia, and has individual study areas and multifunctional group study rooms. In addition to wireless internet connection, the center has 480 internet connection points. There are over 64 thousand subscriptions, especially electronic publications. Students can access all the publications they need for their assignments here.
Medical services
The Health Center, located in the D2 building, is at the service of our students 24 hours a day. Emergency medicine services, therapeutic medicine services, laboratory, drug supply and preventive medicine services are provided within the Health Center. Our students are insured with private health insurance so that they can continue their social lives and academic studies as healthy individuals.
Campus life
Sabancı University’s campus construction and the landscape project were completed at the same time in 1999. The existing flora on the field was observed and given opportunity for propagation; for the new-planted flora, attention was given to select plants which were suitable to local climate and nature.

Choosing a major advantage
In Turkey you need to choose your major before attending university. However, when choosing Sabanci University you don't need to choose a major. So, you will have one more year to choose your major. Though you are free to choose any major, you can't choose your classes in first grade. In first grade you have block lessons.
Navigating Multidisciplinary Studies: Reflections
My university encourages students to diversify their academic pursuits by taking courses from various disciplines. As a result, I have explored subjects ranging from Economics and Industrial Engineering to Physics before ultimately deciding to major in Computer Science. This multidisciplinary approach has been invaluable as it has allowed me to gain insights into different fields and solidify my interest in Computer Science. While I appreciate the breadth of knowledge I have acquired through this approach, one aspect of my university experience that I find challenging is the demanding workload. Professors assign numerous assignments and projects throughout the semester, which often require significant time and effort to complete. This constant workload can become overwhelming, leaving little time for breaks or personal pursuits. Despite this challenge, I remain committed to my studies and strive to manage my time effectively to balance academic responsibilities with personal well-being.
It's okay, nothing special
"I had a good experience at the university, which was great, but the coursework was challenging. Overall, it was a good experience."
