History
The foundation for Özyeğin University entailed comprehensive surveys conducted with more than 500 subjects including businessmen, faculty members, and university and high school students, in addition to a study on "Developing Sectors and Professions in Turkey and in the World". Based on the results of these studies, ARAMA Consulting began the designing process.

As a research university, we aim to educate future leaders through the process of discovery and creation of new knowledge. Our faculty members are active researchers, globally well recognized in their respective areas. They are experienced in applying their research results in building novel businesses.

Housing services
Our Çekmeköy Campus dormitories are home to our 1959 students, elaborately designed with a rich array of housing options to provide a warm and home-like atmosphere for our students, catering for all their needs. Situated in a walking distance to our academic buildings, the dorms offer different room alternatives, each equipped with a fridge, for 1 to 4 persons with or without bathrooms as well as a wide range of amenities and offerings for common use including free laundries, individual or group study rooms, lounges and guest rooms, TV rooms, cafeterias, health centers and ATMs.
Library services
Through our 13,000 square meters Athletic Center, 2600 square meters library, 350-person auditorium, modern classrooms and high-tech laboratories, and quiet and comfortable study rooms, here on OzU Çekmeköy Campus, we offer all necessary amenities and facilities to foster our students’ academic, social, athletic and cultural development in a quest to prepare them for life.
ICT services
Each of our dorms also has a surveillance system, 24/7 hot water, security, ambulance service as well as wireless internet.
Medical services
- There are campus physicians available 24/7 who provide medical examination and treatment as required.
- There is also a fully-equipped ambulance on site and a team of highly skilled and experienced paramedics who are specialized in emergency care.
- Cases that require additional medical attention are referred to the nearest hospitals.
Campus life
OzU Çekmeköy Campus is a serene and peaceful university campus, away from the chaos of the metropolis, where you get the feeling that you live in nature. Created by a leading architecture firm, the designer of the Cambridge and Princeton buildings, OzU Cekmekoy Campus takes pride in having Turkey’s first LEED Gold Certificate.
Situated on a 220 thousand square meters land, our campus houses 5 faculties and 3 schools.
Sports facilities
Life at Ozyegin allows academic activities to coexist with social and sports events integrating in harmony. The university hosts a rich variety of sports activities on its indoor and outdoor sports facilities situated on its both campuses.
The fitness centers offer a full line of cardiovascular training equipment including treadmills, stationary bicycles, rowers, arc trainers as well as strength and weight training equipment and functional trainers. Sports areas also include recreation rooms with table tennis tables as well as aerobics studios where a wide range of group fitness classes are held.

International Hospitality and Tourism Club (OzU HoT Club) The most distinguished feature of OzU Hotel Management Program for me is that we gain many benefits from being in a university environment integrated with professional life.
- OzU Cuisine Club
OzU Cuisine Gourmet Club was founded by Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students to enrich the palate and the knowledge of food culture of the Özyeğin University students.
Accreditation
Özyeğin University has successfully obtained all the national and international accreditations it aimed for at the undergraduate program level. Emphasizing the attainment of program accreditations with the highest national and international standards, our university's relevant undergraduate programs have achieved the distinction of being the only programs accredited in Turkey by AABI (Aviation Accreditation Board International) and ACPHA (Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration), both of which are based in the United States.

OZYEGIN UNIVERISTY
As a student at Özyeğin University, I've found the experience to be both enriching and challenging in the best ways. The university offers a modern and innovative approach to education, particularly in my field of Architecture. The curriculum is well-rounded, combining technical rigor with creative freedom, which has allowed me to explore various facets of architecture, from urban planning to parametric design. The faculty is a standout feature, with professors who are not only experts in their fields but also genuinely invested in student success. They encourage independent thinking and provide ample opportunities for hands-on learning through projects, workshops, and collaborations. The campus itself is designed with a focus on sustainability and student comfort. The facilities are state-of-the-art, whether it’s the architectural studios equipped with the latest technology or the labs that support interdisciplinary research. The library is a valuable resource, with extensive collections and spaces designed for both individual and group study. Student life at Özyeğin is vibrant and diverse. I've been actively involved in Ozu Fusion, a dance group that fosters a sense of community among international students, and this has greatly enriched my university experience. The university also supports a wide range of extracurricular activities, from sports to cultural events, ensuring there's something for everyone. Overall, Özyeğin University provides a well-rounded education in a supportive environment, preparing students not just for their careers but also for meaningful contributions to society. It's a place where innovation, diversity, and community come together, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to pursue higher education.
School
My school is filled with many interactive opportunities with lots of activities academic challenges and also helps with guiding you to the real world but it is challenging especially with being international the language barrier is terrible and some Turkish students oppose internationals but overall the international community is very supportive

Özyeğin University EEE Bachelor
Most of the prerequisite courses weren't open in both semesters. The university's expected student performance is much higher than the quality of the education provided. This degree doesn't have any industry collaboration, which makes the career path more difficult.
