Annecy University Institute of Technology

In 1973, the University Institute of Technology of Annecy-le-Vieux (IUT Annecy) opens its doors and inaugurates the path of a fruitful development bi-departmental. Finally, by the decree of June 27, 1979, the CUS officially becomes the University of Chambéry with the name of use "University of Savoy". 

Today, we are delighted to welcome some 2,800 students united by the same values: quality, interpersonal skills, open-mindedness and well-being. Since its creation, Annecy UIT has allowed students to acquire genuine technical skills, to learn how to be flexible and work in teams, to evolve and be able to integrate in any circumstances. 

The research is carried out by recognized laboratories, labeled and distinguished, actors of close partnerships with large organizations (CNRS, CEA, INRA), international organizations (CERN) or other structures (INES, Institute of the Mountain) also at the cutting edge of innovation . 

Researchers are strongly involved in a few areas that support territorial dynamics: mountain, mechatronics, the sectors of organizations, tourism, image and energy. With physics, they contribute to the visibility of the Savoie Mont Blanc University in niches where its reputation is internationally recognized.

The IUT of Annecy apart from a knowledge that it brings to its students, on the basis of national programs, has for mission to bring to each student a know-how by multiplying the opportunities to implement the data theories taught to them through guided works, practical work, internships and projects.
